As Principal and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Ritenour is the architect of One Sweet Stay’s owner-centric philosophy. A 20-year pioneer in the vacation rental industry, he co-founded the company to fill a glaring hole in the market: a need for a management partner built on absolute fairness, transparency, and a simple promise to put the owner’s success first.
Having owned, operated, and consulted for some of the largest STR businesses and portfolios in the country, it became clear to Chris that bigger is not always better. His experience defines him as an industry pioneer and is built on a key insight: stay small, maximize a select portfolio of the best assets, and prioritize quality owner relationships.
As a hands-on COO, Chris leads the operational and creative strategy that turns properties into top-market performers. He personally directs the professional photography and marketing, leveraging his deep expertise to write compelling, SEO-friendly copy that drives bookings across a wide network of exclusive travel platforms. He believes “boring is over” and champions the company’s bold, design-forward approach, transforming “cookie-cutter” listings into the 5-star, vibe-setting spaces that today’s travelers seek out.
Brandon Hayden
Principal and Property Manager in Charge
Brandon brings a unique blend of hands-on construction experience and a successful career in medical device sales to the team. Though he’s spent the last 17 years in sales, his passion for real estate and construction remains strong. As the group’s self-described “researcher,” Brandon is deeply involved in business planning and exploring real estate as an investment vehicle. His dedication led him to develop a 33-acre parcel into “Monte Vista,” a short-term rental property ranked in the top 5% of all Airbnb listings nationally.
With extensive experience in self-managing properties, marketing, and project scaling, Brandon is a valuable asset to the team. He takes a consultative approach with clients, focusing on understanding their goals and leveraging his property management expertise to create customized plans that maximize profitability.
